Disaster Recovery

Disaster recovery is the process by which an organization resumes business after a disruptive event.
That could mean a natural disaster (Greetings from Hurricane Alley!), it could be a man-made event (a massive power outage, for example), or it could be an IT-oriented episode (some of you may remember the Melissa virus, or NIMDA a few months later).
Business Continuity

Business continuity is an approach to logistical planning that encompasses IT, as well as a wide variety of other business functions (sales, finance, operations, etc.).
It represents the development of a systematic strategy to “keep the doors open” no matter what might lurk around the corner.
Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity
They’re not the same thing, you know.
Both Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity share some similar concerns. Both must answer some of the same questions: Where will employees go and how they will communicate? Who will have access to what kinds of data? Which data systems are critical, and how do we keep them running?
EvolvTec understands your need to develop workable answers to such questions before you need to experience them. Our business consultants can assist you in developing—and testing—a solution that enables your organization to function in prolonged and extreme circumstances.
